Born in September 1980, she hails from New Delhi . Did her schooling from Carmel Convent, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi.She started her career as a model. She has been cast in many a commercial advertisements and began her Career in Bollywood with an item number in Prakash Jha?s movie Apaharan.

Her acting career took off with two films with Mahesh Bhatt. The first one was Awarapan in which she got to share the screen space with Bhatt's blue-eyed boy Emraan Hashmi. The movie also starred South Indian actress Shriya. The other movie was choreographer Raju Khan?s directorial debut Showbiz.
