Simmba - 2018

SIMMBA is the story of a corrupt cop turned hero. Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba (Ranveer Singh) is a dishonest police officer in Shivgad. Minister Vinayak Dutta (Uday Tikekar) transfers him to Miramar, Goa. Once he shifts there, he meets Shagun (Sara Ali Khan) and both fall for each other. He also develops a brotherly bond with Aakruti Dave (Vaidehi Parshurami), a medical student who teaches poor kids. She realises her students are being used for drug peddling by Sadashiv and Gaurav, brothers of the evil Durav Ranade (Sonu Sood).

One day she lands up at the pub where these illegal activities are taking place and manages to capture it all on phone. However she is caught and Sadashiv and Gaurav rape her brutally. Then she is left to die. Eventually, Aakruti succumbs to her injuries. This infuriates Simmba since he considered Aakruti as her sister. But he realises he's helpless as Durav is too powerful. And Simmba is on his payroll. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
