A comic caper starring Govinda Kyonkii Main Jhuth Nahi bolta is about a man who lies his way through his life and career.

Raj Malhotra (Govinda), a lawyer by profession, is a compulsive liar. He schemes his way to marrying Sonam (Sushmita Sen), the daughter of a wealthy lawyer Tejpal (Anupam Kher). Sonam falls for Raj’s honesty and when she finds out of his dishonesty she threatens to divorce him. Their son, to avoid the divorce, wishes on a shooting star that his father should lose the ability to lie. Now all utterances from Raj’s mouth are truthful. This creates a crisis in his life, especially with his underworld clients, who are now out to kill him.
